The first workshop will be conducted by Jaye Wells, an editor and freelance writer now turned author. Jaye is a successful urban fantasy writer. Her latest books are: Silver Tongued Devil in January, 2012 and "Blue-Blooded Vamp", due out in May of this year. She'll give
a crash course in how to build your own world in, "Nurturing Your God Complex - A Crash Course in World Building."
Jaye has eight novels in print, including four in the Sabina Kane series. "Blue-Blooded Vamp," coming in May, 2012, will be the fifth and last of this series. There are also a number of Sabina Kane short fiction works in print.
Jaye knows what she's talking about. Come let her show you how to grow your inagination. Even if you're not into fantasy, expanding your imagination, stretching your mind, will help in all fiction writing.
The second workshop will be conducted by Jodi Thomas. Jodi is a Writer in Residence at West Texas A & M University. (Sounds like the perfect job to me.) Jodi has won four (4) RITA awards from the Romance Writers of America (the latest in 2010), and has been induced into the Romance Writers of America's Hall of Fame.
Jodi has been on the New York Times and the USA Today Best Seller lists. Her first book, Beneath the Texas Sky won the National Press Women's Novel of the Year award in its category. In 2005, Finding Mary Blaine received the National Reader's Choice Award. She's won that award twice more since then. In 2011, her Somewhere Along the Way won the Booksellers' Best Award.
So,Jodi knows how to write and she knows how to teach. She allocates time each morning to interact with students and answer any questions they have on writing. You will learn from this workshop. Try to attend.
Each workshop is two hours. There will be a thirty minute break between the workshops to ensure that your attention level will remain at the highest level.
Just enough time to visit with the presenters and other writers.
Registered attendees for the 2012 NETWO Writers' Roundup (April 27 & 28)
may register to take these intensive workshops on Friday. Please note: you must register for the NETWO Conference in order to
attend the workshops.
Take these workshops, then inverview with an agent, editor, or publisher the next day. What a great opportunity!
Don't miss out.
