Additional information on accommodations is posted below. We have names, prices,
and locations of motels and bed and breakfasts in the area, as well as the distance from each to the conference site.
But, here are three new possibilities for 2010, that keep you right in the middle of all the action, surrounded by
authors, agents, editors and publishers. This is the way to get the most out of the conference.
Inexpensive option 1. Camp Shiloh has a women's dorm and a men's dorm -- in the same building as the main conference room.
Shiloh has purchased some new, better, real mattresses for the the 2010 conference.
These provide simple,
but inexpensive, clean accommodations. There are ample, private showers. Cost is $25 per person for Friday night
(and this includes Saturday morning full breakfast). Cost for Friday and Saturday nights (including Saturday morning full breakfast)
is $40 - that's
two nights and one breakfast. Linens are furnished. And you couldn't be closer to
the action. These dorms are in the same building as the main conference room!
TESTIMONIALS
I loved staying in the dorm at camp Shylo last year. After the formal programs a group of us women stayed up talking about writing,
books we had read, characters from our novels, our grand kids, etc. It was a time to get to know other writers around the country. It was like the
slumber parties we had as kids. I plan to stay in the dorm again this year. Save me a bunk.
Galand
I was hesitant about staying in the dorm, but found out it was fun. It took me back a few years and I discovered even at 80 I could
recapture the spirit of a sleep over. We developed a camaraderie that brought us closer together than we could ever get over the dinner table.
It may be like camping, but much cleaner and more comfortable.
Such an adventure can also be the inspiration for a short story or even a book if you develop the characters and think up a good plot.
We are all characters, you know.

Special for 2010 ! We have arranged for a special NETWO rate for the conference.
Stay BOTH Friday night and Saturday night for only $40.
That's only $20 per night, and includes a full breakfast Saturday morning. And we're planning an intriguing event for Friday night, after the reception. Come join in the fun.
Attend the After Conference Dinner Saturday, stay in the dorm Saturday night, and have a leisurely trip home on Sunday.
Here's a picture taken in the women's dorm. (It is unlikely that anyone will have to use an upper bunk--unless
she chooses one.) Contact NETWO to reserve a spot (click on the "Contact Us" label at the upper left of this page).
Distance to the conference -- 50 feet.
Option 2.
OOPS! These are already reserved.
There are two "motel type" rooms. The motel rooms have one queen bed and bunk beds,
plus a microwave and a small refrigerator. Prices are $45 per night for the motel rooms. To inquire about the availibility of these,
contact NETWO (click on the "Contact Us" label at the upper left
of this page). Distance to the conference -- 100 yards.
Another option this year is to bring your RV. Camp Shiloh has a number of nice spots for RV hook-ups. These are concrete pads,
mostly shaded, with full RV hook-up--water, electricity, and sewer. These range in cost from $10 to $25 per night (depending on what
services are used - water, sewer, electric), payable
directly to Camp Shiloh. Check with Camp Shiloh at 903-855-1800.
These are NOT handled through NETWO. Many of these are
very close to the conference center. So, bring your family, or several writer friends. Just think, two writers sharing
an RV costs makes it very inexpensive per writer. Here's a picture of one RV spot. Distance to conference -- 100 feet.

In Mt. Pleasant, at the intersection of US 271 (regular, not business) and Interstate 30, there are three nice

conference, as well as the agents and editor.
Vaughan's Catfish Restaurant is about 2 1/2 miles from Camp Shiloh. Take FM 21 north across the bridge.
About a mile beyond the bridge, there will be a sign on the left for Vaughan's. Turn left at the sign, stay on the main

House B & B, but do not turn on College Street.
The Western Sizzlin' restuarant in Mt. Pleasant is very near to the three motels mentioned above in Mt. Pleasant. Also,
there are restaurants at those motels. Immediately north of Interstate on US 271 (just across the Interstate from the

Follow US 271 south through Mt. Pleasant and you will find several different types of restaurants.
But your best bet for Saturday night is ** The Post Conference Dinner at Camp Shiloh. **
