NETWO Announces Dates for 2013 Conference

The Northeast Texas Writers' Organization (NETWO) will hold its 2013 conference on April 26 and 27, 2013.

It promises to be another top-notch conference!

Faculty - We have commitments from two agents from top notch New York agencies, and two publishers from a small, independent traditional publisher, plus three diverse and talented authors, including New York Times and Indie Best-Selling author Colleen Hoover and two time Derringer Award winner Earl Staggs.

Check out their Bios by clicking on the "Speaker Bios" link at the left.

Conference Consultant James R. Callan said the high quality of our faculty over the past several years has been made possible in part by a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts.

Workshops - In 2013, NETWO will again present TWO dynamic workshops on Friday afternoon, April 26. These are an absolute must for writers who want to improve their books. These will be intensive, interactive, hands on workshops. Details will be on this website within the next ten days.

Accommodations - We have posted information on lodging - motels and hotels. As the conference has moved to the Mount Pleasant Civic Center, we no longer have the "dorm accommodations" available in 2011 and before. For more information on accommodations, click here.

Conference Dinner - The Writers Roundup will close with a dinner. We have the same great caterer as last year, and they received very high praise for excellent meals last year. This is optional, but the cost is only $15. The winners of the NETWO Short Story Contest will be announced at the dinner, as well as some NETWO and conference awards.

But most of all, it will be a final opportunity to network. Hopefully, you will have met many writers, plus the agents, publisher and editor. With all the presentations during the day, you might not have gotten a phone number or e-mail address you wanted. Besides a good meal, you'll have time to collect those contacts, and maybe make one last "good impression" on an editor, or agent, or publisher. (They will be staying for the dinner.)

Venue - Again this year, the NETWO Writer's Roundup conference is at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Located on U.S. Business 271 just one block south of Interstate 30, it is easily accessible from north, south, east and west. It offers excellent facilities: climate control, large rooms, excellent sound systems, ability to handle Power Point presentations, ample room for the on-site lunch which is part of the conference, improved restroom facilities, and private rooms for the one-on-one interviews with agents, editor and publisher. There is ample parking available. Several motels are within two blocks.

The organizing committee believes this site provides the best facilities which will accommodate our growth,

If you don't know where the Mount Pleasant Civic Center is, check out the maps and driving directions.
